If you’ve ever owned a pergola heater, you know the drill. They live a hard life. Rain, snow, freezing nights—it’s a lot for any piece of electronics to handle. But there’s a bigger problem. I call it the “Year 5” headache. Most heaters on the market are sealed shut. When a heating element finally gives out after a few seasons, you’re stuck. You can’t just fix it. You have to rip the whole fixture out of the ceiling and throw the entire thing in the trash. It’s a waste of money and a total pain. We decided to stop doing that.
