If you’re running a SACMI line, you know how tight those cycles are. There isn’t any room for “almost.” If your lamps lag even a fraction of a second, you’re looking at deformed PET preforms or walls that are way too thin in some spots. It’s a headache nobody needs. That’s why we built these replacement lamps. We wanted to kill that lag. Heat that hits instantly To get the temperature where it needs to be in a matter of milliseconds, we used a high-wattage halogen filament wrapped in high-purity quartz. Here’s the secret: we tweaked the filament diameter and the gas pressure inside the tube. It cuts down the “inertia,” so the lamp doesn’t have to struggle to get going. It just hits full infrared output immediately. Your preform hits the glass transition temperature exactly when it reaches the blow station. No guessing. No wasted plastic. Built for the grind Most standard lamps just can’t handle the brutal on/off cycling of a rotary machine. They burn out. Fast. We fixed that by beefing up the end-caps and using specialized connectors to stop electrical arcing at the terminals. The best part? They’re total drop-ins. You can wire them right in without messing with your housing or your ballast. We also treated the quartz envelope to let more short-wave IR through. It means the energy actually goes into the plastic instead of just heating up the walls of your oven. A quick word of caution Now, pushing this much energy into such a small space comes with a trade-off. If your cooling fans are clogged or your ventilation is lagging, the housing is going to get hot. Really hot. If that happens, your filaments will fail way sooner than they should. Just keep your airflow clear, and you’ll be fine. We built these to take a beating in high-speed shops.
